Leeds Rhinos veteran prop Kylie Leuleuai is facing a further six weeks on the sidelines after the club revealed he requires surgery on his shoulder.
The 37 year-old has been out for a month already, with what was thought to be a bicep injury, but it is only now that it has been correctly diagnosed.
‘We thought his biceps were the problem but he’s actually got a bit of floating tissue in his shoulder which he’s going to have cleaned out,’ head-coach Brian McDermott told The Daily Mail.
“He will be out for anything from between four to six weeks.”
“I think we’ve missed him over Easter, not just the extra body, but some of the direct carries he gives you.”
