Wilkin, Lima and Simon handed bans

St Helens skipper Jon Wilkin has been given a one-match ban after admitting a grade ‘B’ offence in his side’s Challenge Cup sixth round win over York City Knights.

The 31 year-old will miss his side’s trip to Hull FC on Friday night after recklessly striking York winger Adam Dent.

Catalan Dragons forward Jeff Lima has been handed a four-match ban following his shoulder charge in the cup triumph over Featherstone Rovers, for which the former New Zealand and Samoan international received a red card.

The former Wigan Warrior was sent off by referee Robert Hicks on 48 minutes following his shoulder charge on Rovers’ Remy Marginet. He will now miss the Dragons’ next four matches against his old club Wigan, as well as the games against Huddersfield, Hull FC and Wakefield.

The two-time NRL Grand-Final winner should return for Catalan’s Challenge Cup quarter-final trip to Hull KR.

Wakefield Wildcats’ Mikael Simon was also given a one-match ban. The French international has been suspended for striking Leigh Centurions’ stand-off Martin Ridyard during his sides’ defeat to the Championship leaders on Sunday.

Simon will miss the visit of Widnes Vikings on Sunday.
