Back rower Benjamin Garcia will join Penrith Panthers for next season.
The Catalan Dragons star has made 34 appearances for the Super League club and has been particularly impressive this season.
The 22 year-old is having his most prolific try scoring season to date, scoring seven four-pointers in 12 league appearances so far.
French international Garcia previously had a spell in Australia with Wynnum-Manly Seagulls, a feeder club for NRL side Brisbane Broncos.
“To go back to Australia and play in the NRL has always been an ambition for me,” Garcia said.
“I had the opportunity this year with Penrith and I wanted to grab it with both hands.”
Phil Gould, Panthers executive general manager said: “Benjamin’s form has been outstanding for the Catalans Dragons and he attracted tremendous attention from a number of Super League clubs looking for his signature.
“He has a burning desire to make it in the NRL and we are extremely happy he has chosen Panthers as the place to pursue that opportunity. This kid can play.”
