Salford Red Devils have terminated the contract of England international Rangi Chase following a ‘disciplinary procedure.’
The stand off was two years into a four-year deal at the AJ Bell Stadium.
The 29 year-old was suspended by the club in September and had been told he could leave the Red Devils on a free transfer.
But on Tuesday Dr Marwan Koukash, the club’s owner, confirmed Chase’s departure via Twitter, saying: “Following a disciplinary procedure, the club has decided to terminate the contract of Rangi Chase.”
2011 Man of Steel winner Chase is thought to be a target of Championship side Leigh Centurions.
