Darrell Griffin has agreed a two-year deal with Featherstone Rovers.
The 34 year-old had one more year to run on his deal with Salford Red Devils but has been released in order to move to Post Office Road.
Griffin, who had previous spells in Super League with Huddersfield Giants and Leeds Rhinos, joined the Red Devils in 2013 and made 61 appearances for the club.
Martin Vickers, Red Devils’ CEO, told the club’s website: CEO Martin Vickers, said, “We would like to thank Darrell for his commitment to the Red Devils over his three seasons at the club and we wish him all the best for the future.”
Griffin added: “I would like to thank the Salford Devils for the last 3 years, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Devils, however an opportunity has come up for me to prolong my playing career, as well as making the transition into the next stage of my life. I sincerely hope the Devils can achieve their goals in 2016, as the club and fans deserve it.”
