Kavanagh signs for Bulls

Ben Kavanagh has signed for Bradford Bulls from Widnes Vikings.

The Scottish international forward struggled to hold down a first-team spot at the Vikings last season and spent the majority of 2015 on loan with Wakefield Wildcats.

Kavanagh made 166 appearances for the Vikings since 2008, when he initially joined them on loan from Wigan Warriors.

“Ben is a big agile dynamic runner of the ball and has a real physical presence in defence,” Bradford Bulls managing director Steve Ferres told the club’s official website.

“Ben has loads of first grade experience, which will be valuable when experience will be called upon.”

“We were able to secure his services despite having to fight off interest from other Super League clubs,” Ferres added.
