Tommy Lee has been named as Salford Red Devils’ captain for the upcoming season.
The 27 year-old hooker takes over as skipper from Harrison Hansen, who left the club to join Leigh Centurions.
Lee joined Salford from London Broncos in 2014 and has gone on to make 38 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring four tries in the process.
The experienced Lee has made just short of 200 career appearances for the likes of Hull FC, Crusaders, Wakefield, Huddersfield, London and Salford.
He told Andrew Riley for Quays News via Manchester Evening News: “It’s a great honour for me to lead this team out. The club is going places, that’s why I signed.”
“We’ve got no egos in the locker room, everyone is working as a unit and I think we’ll shock a few people this year,” Lee added.
