Reports in Australia suggest that Willie Mason’s proposed move to Catalans Dragons has collapsed.
The 35 year-old had been in talks to join the Dragons after failing to secure a deal in the NRL for 2016.
However, Rugbyleagueweek.com.au are reporting that Mason and the club have failed to agree terms on a deal to bring the controversial forward to Super League.
It is now likely that the former New South Wales and Australia forward has played his last top-level game.
Recently Mason had expressed his desire to continue his playing into next year, but it now seems as though he won’t be doing it in the South of France.
