New Salford Red Devils signing Daniel Vidot is facing up to three months out with a shoulder injury.
The 25 year-old, who joined the Red Devils from NRL side Brisbane Broncos in the offseason, picked up the injury during a training session with his new side.
Samoan international Vidot will now undergo surgery on Thursday and will definitely miss the start of the new Super League season next month.
However, while the club say Vidot will be out of action for between two to three months, the player himself posted on Facebook that “half the season will be missed by me due to this injury.”
Salford kick off their Super League campaign with a trip to Hull FC on February 5th.
