Salford Red Devils owner Dr Marwan Koukash has refuted allegations made by Bradford Bulls chairman Marc Green over possible salary cap irregularities.
In a letter leaked to Rugby League Express, Green claimed he was prevented from raising concerns at a Rugby League Council meeting in December about the Red Devils signing of Tony Puletua from St Helens, and the clubs use of the cap over the past two years.
On Sunday evening Koukash said via Twitter: “Since early October, we have been fully co-operating with the RFL investigators and will continue to do so to clear our name.”
“If a court of law after a 2 day hearing did not find our club guilty , why is he asking the RFL to investigate the same case,” Koukash added.
An RFL spokesman said on the matter via Sky Sports: “There are around 150 investigations conducted by the RFL every year and, as is just and proper, we do not comment on any of them until we have decided to charge an individual or club.”
