Hull KR skipper Terry Campese will be out for six to eight weeks with a hamstring injury.
The 31 year-old limped off in the opening quarter of Rovers’ win over Leeds Rhinos last Friday.
That was only the former Canberra Raiders scrum half’s second appearance since undergoing knee surgery last March. He also limped off after making his comeback against Huddersfield Giants.
Robins head coach James Webster told the Hull Daily Mail:
“Terry comes out of the squad (for Thursday’s game against Catalans Dragons). We’re looking at six to eight weeks with him, so we’ll see how that goes and we’ll just have to reassess that as time goes on.
“It’s a little bit worse than before and obviously we’ll give him some time to get over that in any way. We’ve got a Challenge Cup game in between, so there’s four or five league games that he’ll miss.
“No player likes to sit on the sidelines especially when you’ve missed the large part of the season already,” he added.
