Four Super League clubs are vying to acquire the services of Danny Tickle – according to the player’s agent Karl Harrison.
The 32 year-old back rower was released from his contract at Widnes Vikings last month, and there is reportedly plenty of interest in him.
The former England international hasn’t played since being involved in an incident outside a Manchester nightclub that left him with a fractured skull in November, but Harrison suggests that a deal for the former Hull and Wigan player is close to being finalised.
“We have four Super League clubs interested,” Harrison said via the Hull Daily Mail. “All the clubs we have spoken to want medical evidence following Danny’s injury. All evidence has now been produced and we’re waiting for a decision to be made.”
Huddersfield Giants and Hull KR are two teams rumoured to be interested in Tickle, with Giants head coach Paul Anderson last week confirming that “He (Tickle) is someone of interest to us.”
