Casty ruled out for four weeks

Catalans Dragons captain Remi Casty will be out of action for four weeks after fracturing a rib cartilage.

The injury occurred during his sides’ 41-22 victory over Castleford on Easter Monday and now the 31 year-old will be sidelined until the end of April.

A knee injury ended Casty’s 2015 campaign in mid-July, and Dragons head coach Laurent Frayssinous lamented his skipper’s latest injury: “It’s obviously bad news for him, but also for the team,” he said via BBC Sport.

“Since his return, Remi was improving week in week out and produced some great performances in the last games.

“But I know him and I’m sure he will come back stronger.”
